My father is a person I really admire. His name is Alexander Ivanovich. He was born on October 1, 1957 in Perm, Russia. He works as an air traffic controller. He is tall, slim with short black hair and brown eyes.

My father was brought up in a village. He had a brother and a sister, and everything a teenage boy could dream about in those years: a dog, a motorcycle and a tape recorder. But he dreamt about a big city and a well-paid job, which would satisfy him.

When he was 18, he served in army in The Moscow Kremlin. But Moscow wasn’t his city, so he decided to move to Saint Petersburg, where he tried to enter The Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, because he dreamt of becoming a pilot. His first attempt wasn’t successful, because he failed the Maths exam. But he didn’t give up. He had been working the whole year in the Kirov Factory. After a year, he tried his luck again and got a chance to study in the university of his dream. Unfortunately, due to the fact that he was very tall, he couldn’t study as a pilot, but he became an air traffic controller.

There are many reasons why I admire my father. He is a brave, hardworking and positive person. He didn’t give up and made his dreams come true. He is a good father and a good husband. He proved that anything is possible and that dreams can come true.
