The Altai Mountains are situated in southern Siberia, near the borders of Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia. The Caucasus Mountains are situated in the southwest of Russia, between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Other Russian mountain systems include the Ural Mountains, the Sayan Mountains, the Verkhoyansk Range, the Chersky Range and the Sikhote-Alin.
