2. Complete the sentences with the correct form of the Past Continuous. 0 The children were having (have) breakfast at half past seven yesterday morning. 1 ___ (it / rain) last night? 2 Mum ___ (work) yesterday afternoon. 3 We ___ (not play) football at four o’clock. We were at home. 4 We ___ (visit) our grandparents last Saturday.

Past Continuous.

1. Was it raining last night?
2. Mum was working yesterday afternoon.
3. We weren’t playing football at four o’clock. We were at home.
4. We were visiting our grandparents last Saturday.

Пояснение: Past Continuous образуется с помощью was/were и глагола с окончанием -ing; в вопросе was ставится перед подлежащим, а отрицание образуется с помощью wasn’t/weren’t.
