2. Прочитайте текст. Why Do People Read? Reading is one of the most useful and enjoyable activities. People read books for different reasons. Some people read to get information, learn something new or prepare for their lessons. Others read for pleasure and relaxation. Books can take us to different countries and historical periods. They can introduce us to interesting people and imaginary worlds. A good book develops our imagination and helps us understand other people's feelings and ideas. Teenagers have different reading preferences. Some enjoy fantasy and adventure stories, while others prefer detective novels, biographies or science-fiction books. Many young people also read magazines, newspapers and texts on the Internet. Today people can read paper books and electronic books. An e-book is convenient because a person can keep many books in one small device. However, some readers still prefer paper books because they like the smell and feel of real pages. In my opinion, it does not matter what kind of book a person chooses. The most important thing is to read regularly and enjoy the process.
