Past Simple forms:
The Past Simple is formed by adding '-ed' to the base form of regular verbs. For verbs ending in 'e', only '-d' is added. For verbs ending in 'y' preceded by a consonant, 'y' is changed to 'i' and '-ed' is added. Irregular verbs have unique past simple forms (like 'receive' - 'received').
