Elena: We've got a Maths test today. Have you got your calculator this time?

Tom: Oh no, I forgot it. Is it OK if I use yours?

Elena: No, it isn't. I need it for the test!

Tom: OK, I understand. I hope the test is easy!

Dialogue 2

Jess: Hi Tom. Do you want to go to the cinema?

Matt: Sure, but I have to ask my mum first. Can I borrow your mobile, please? I don't have my phone with me.

Jess: Sure, no problem. Here you are.

Matt: Thanks. Oh, hi mum. Please can I go to the cinema?

Mum: Yes, you can.
