Past Simple - Amelia Earhart's Story

Amelia Earhart was born in 1897 in Kansas, USA. As a child, she spent (spend) a lot of time with her grandparents. At school, she was good at sport and science, but she didn't make (not make) many friends. When she was older, she became (become) interested in planes, so she learned (learn) to fly. She bought (buy) her first plane in 1921. In 1932, she was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean by herself. She was also the first person to cross both the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean.
