Hi Amy,

Greetings from Moscow! It’s very cold and snowy here. We’re staying at my grandparents’ house. New Year is a very important festival in Russia. We celebrate it on 31 December. People decorate their homes and a New Year tree. They buy gifts and prepare lots of delicious food.

At the moment, people are decorating the tree and getting ready for the celebration. I’m helping my grandparents in the kitchen. We’re having a great time together!
