Choose one of the following situations and write an exciting dinosaur story: 1) You were coming home after a party at night when you saw something that looked like a pterodactyl. 2) You were visiting a faraway land where gigantic dinosaur eggs had been found. 3) You met a scientist who said he knew how to make the dinosaurs alive. In your story don’t forget to say some words about where it happened (country, town, street, school, museum).

Last Saturday, I was walking home from a party late at night. I lived in a quiet town in Canada, and the streets near the old Natural History Museum were usually empty after midnight. The moon was shining brightly when a huge shadow suddenly crossed the road.

I looked up and saw a creature flying above the museum. It had enormous wings, a long beak, and a tail. For a moment, I thought it was a pterodactyl. Then it landed on the roof with a loud crash.

I ran to the museum and found that one of the windows was broken. Inside, the dinosaur skeletons had disappeared from their displays. Suddenly, I heard a deep roar behind me. A real dinosaur stepped out of the darkness. It was taller than a house and stared at me with bright yellow eyes.

I wanted to run, but the dinosaur was hurt. A piece of metal was stuck in its leg. I carefully removed it, and the creature stopped roaring. It lowered its enormous head and touched my hand with its nose. Then the flying pterodactyl appeared at the window and called to it.

Both dinosaurs rushed out of the museum and disappeared into the forest outside the town. The next morning, the police found huge footprints in the street, but nobody believed my story. However, when I returned to the museum, I found one enormous golden scale on the floor. I knew that the dinosaurs were still alive—and that they might come back one day.
