The population of London is 8.9 million, which makes it a capital of UK.
And, just like New York, London is an extremely multicultural place.
Around 2.5 million of the people who live here weren't born in this country. In fact, a recent study found that 'Londoners' speak over 300 languages.
In some places in the city, you can almost experience life in a different country.
Chinatown:
The first immigrants from China came here in the 18th century. Chinatown is in the centre of London.
Chinatown is very busy at the start of the year when Chinese New Year celebrations take place.
Little India:
This is where I live. In Southall, not far from Heathrow Airport, over 50% of residents are from India and Pakistan or have Asian parents. There's a large Asian market selling imported fashion and food.
Visitors can buy a newspaper in Punjabi, eat a delicious samosa from Southall Market or see an amazing Sikh temple.
