Заполняем пропуски словосочетаниями из упражнения 5 в прошедшем времени:
- A: Does Molly still live in Manchester?
B: No, she moved house last year. She lives in Birmingham now. - A: You're late again, Mary.
B: I know, I'm sorry. There were no buses this morning - I waited for a long time, then I decided to walk. - A: How was your birthday?
B: Great! We stayed at home and Daniel prepared a meal. It was very nice. - A: Tony posted a letter for a new car last week.
B: Really? I hope he wins! - A: How's Rim?
B: She's fine. I received an email from her yesterday. She's living in Saudi Arabia now. - A: I can't remember the last time I visited a relative.
B: I can! It was a few weeks ago when Jamie showed you his pet snake. You were really angry.
A: That's because Jamie knows that I don't like snakes. - A: How long does it take for a postcard to get from here to Australia?
B: About seven days, I think. My cousin sent a postcard from Sydney last week and it arrived here yesterday. - A: When was the last time you shouted at someone?
B: Two months ago - all of my family live in Poland and I only see them three or four times a year.
Примечание: В пункте 7, "sent a postcard" является наиболее логичным продолжением, хотя "posted a letter" из упражнения 5 также возможно. В пункте 8, "shouted at someone" является прямым соответствием из упражнения 5.
