Thank you for the suggested itinerary for my upcoming trip to Cairo. Given the ¹choice, I'd spend several days with you, but unfortunately I only have twenty-four hours!

I'm ²passionate about history and ancient monuments, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the pyramids. I'm also really ³keen trying new experiences, so I'd love to sail down the Nile in a felucca! I love all kinds of boats, so that should be interesting.

Normally, I'd much ⁴prefer walk around the city because you see more when you walk, but if it's going to be really hot, as you suggest, I'd ⁵rather to be driven. How ⁶can we see how hot it is on the day?

I agree it would be nice to spend the late afternoon buying souvenirs. I can't ⁷stand modern shopping centres, so I like your idea of going to Khan el-Khalili. I've heard lots about this market, and of course I'm ⁸into on seeing locally made goods.
