English Conditionals (0 & 1) Explained
Conditionals are used to talk about hypothetical situations and their consequences. Conditionals 0 and 1 are used to express general truths or probable future events.
- Type 0 Conditional: Used for general truths and scientific facts. Structure: If + present simple, present simple. (e.g., If you heat water, it boils.)
- Type 1 Conditional: Used for real and possible situations in the future. Structure: If + present simple, will + base verb. (e.g., If it rains, we will stay home.)
