Hello! My name's Alex. I'd like to tell you about my place in the world. I live in Minsk. This is my house. My address is house Number 90, Kalinovsky Street. My house is new and beautiful. It is very clean around my house. The whole city of Minsk is clean and beautiful. There are many blocks of flats in my neighbourhood, a few shops and a post-office. We have a very kind and generous neighbours.

My classmates are great too: helpful and cheerful. I usually go to school on trolley-bus. I love my city! Minsk is famous of its sports palaces and the library. Tourists from all over Belarus and from other countries come to Minsk to see them.

My country is beautiful! Thick forests and green meadows cover Belarus. There are many blue rivers and lakes in my country. I would also like to see so many places in the world: hot and dry deserts, green grasslands, high mountains and wet rainforests! I'd like to look at koalas in the wild: they are cute and funny! They munch leaves so slowly! Koalas are my favourites.

Belarus is a European country. If you look at the map, to the east of Belarus you can see Russia. Ukraine is to the south of my country. To the north we can find Latvia and Lithuania. Poland is to the west of Belarus.

The people of Belarus are hard-working and friendly. They speak Russian and Belarusian. There are more and more people in Belarus who can speak English too. They use English when they work, travel and talk to their friends from other countries. The people of my country like to travel a lot. Belarus is in Europe, so many Belarusians go round the continent of Europe on holidays. They like visiting Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Germany, France, Spain and other countries. Connections between people make the world a happy place.
