Last summer I found a very unusual island. It is called Rainbow Bloom Island. It is not like any island in a book or on a map, because everything here looks strange and wonderful.
The weather on Rainbow Bloom Island is always different. In the morning the sky can be blue, but after breakfast the clouds become pink, and then they turn green like a salad! Sometimes it rains soft «sparkle» water—tiny shining drops that disappear after a few seconds. At night the wind plays music, and you can hear small gentle sounds like a flute.
The trees are also unusual. Their leaves are shaped like hearts and stars. When sunlight touches them, the leaves glow for a minute, even if it is sunny all day. The sand is colorful too: some parts are purple, some are yellow, and some are silver like sugar. If you step carefully, the sand makes light footprints that last for one minute.
On the island there are rivers that do not flow like ordinary rivers. They run in slow circles, as if they are learning to dance. One river is called Whisper River because it sounds like quiet talking when the water moves over stones.
There are also lakes. Mirror Lake reflects not only the sky, but also the clouds' dreams. You can see funny pictures in it, like animals made of clouds. Another lake is Swirl Lake, and the water spins slowly, like a top, without making you wet.
Rainbow Bloom Island has friendly animals. I saw feather-fish that swim in puddles and leap into the air like birds. There are mushroom rabbits—they look like rabbits but their ears are made of soft red mushrooms. At night, small glow-worm cats walk quietly and leave a tiny light trail behind them.
The animals don't just live here—they help the island. For example, birds pick up shiny seeds and plant them in the sand so new star-shaped flowers can grow.
There are many entertainments for children. There is a Bubble Playground, where the swings and slides are made of bubble glass. You can ride a bubble down a gentle hill, and it pops softly like a pillow.
I also played in Rainbow Maze, a maze that changes its paths when the sun moves. If you get lost, you can follow glowing lines made of sand.
There is a Story Beach too. Every evening the waves say stories in a language you can almost understand. If you sit there and listen, you can learn new words.
My unusual island is special because it surprises you every day. The weather changes colors, the nature glows, the rivers dance, and the lakes show dream pictures. If I had the chance, I would visit Rainbow Bloom Island again and again—because it feels like a real-life fairytale.
