Objective:
To familiarize with the structure of mold fungi mucor and penicillin.
Equipment:
- mucor and penicillin culture
- dissecting needles
- pipettes
- microscope slides and coverslips
- microscope
- prepared slides of mucor and penicillin
Procedure:
- Prepare a microscopic specimen using laboratory equipment.
- Adjust the microscope for work.
- Examine the external structure of mucor and penicillin fungi. Find spore heads (sporangia, conidia) and mycelium.
- Examine prepared slides under low and high magnification.
- Draw the external appearance of mucor and penicillin, label (sporangia, conidia, sporangiophores and conidiophores, mycelium, spores).
