My family live in Belarus, but I want to tell you about my extended (расширенный) family, friends and neighbours.
My uncle lives and works in Russia now. This country is to the east of Belarus. In the west, we have another neighbour - Poland. My cousin lives there. He travels a lot for his job and tells me interesting facts about different countries of our planet Earth. For example, he says that in Singapore you mustn't drop litter. If you do, you must pay $$1,000. He also knows a lot about animals in danger. His favourite endangered animal is the polar bear.
My neighbours' daughter Maria lives in Italy now. She speaks Italian a lot, but she speaks her mother tongue too. She teaches her daughter Anna to speak Belarusian. Anna thinks that Belarusian language is as beautiful as Italian.
I have pen-friends in the UK and the USA. We chat a lot and it helps me to learn English. It's good to have connections!
