Fashion: Men and women in ancient Egypt wore make-up, made from natural colours like kohl (black) and ochre (red). Rich people also wore wigs made from real hair. Ancient Egyptians wore gold jewellery, which is found in many tombs and depicted in paintings.
River Nile: Egypt depended on the River Nile for water and transportation of goods. The Egyptians cleverly developed ways to control the river, such as building dams, sluices, and a 'shadoof', to water their fields, which was crucial as there was no rain, relying on the river and annual floods.
Tombs: Ancient Egyptians believed in an afterlife and worshipped many gods, like Ra. Rich people commissioned large tombs for themselves and their possessions. Kings were buried in pyramids, while poorer people had simple underground tombs.
