Present Simple:

Used for general truths, habits, routines, and facts that are always true.

• start: Used here to describe a regular, scheduled event (my lessons start at 8:30).


• go: Used to describe a routine or habitual action (After school, I go to my part-time job).


• love: Used to express a general feeling or opinion (I always love hearing from you).

Present Continuous:

Used for actions happening at the moment of speaking, or around the present time (temporary situations), and for future arrangements.

• am studying: Used to describe an action happening around the present time, currently (At the moment I am studying really hard).


• 'm sitting: Used to describe an action happening at the exact moment of speaking (I'm sitting my exams next week).


• am working: Used to describe a temporary situation or an ongoing action around the present time (I am working in a library for the next few months).


• am meeting: Used to describe a planned future event (Tonight I am meeting my friends).

In summary: Present Simple is for permanent states or routines, while Present Continuous is for temporary actions, ongoing activities around now, or future arrangements.
