But what’s the world like?” So Tom asks Mr Cat. “What’s the world like, Mr Cat?” “The world is round,” says Mr Cat. Tom thinks of the round world all day. The next day Tom leaves his house to see the round world. He comes to a farm. He sees a big, round potato. “This is the world!” says Tom and runs down to the round potato. Tom puts his paw on the potato and says: “The world is hard.” Tom jumps on the potato. Suddenly, the farmer comes out of the stable and shouts: “Go away!” Tom runs away from the farm. Tom goes home and tells his mummy: “Mr Cat is right. The world is round. I’m happy.
