Last summer, Vicky and her parents went on holiday to the country. They stayed in a lovely old house near a lake. On the first morning they explored the area and in the afternoon they went swimming in the lake. After dinner Vicky had a shower. She was drying her hair when she had a surprise. She said Wi-Fi, 'Oh no! My hairdryer isn't working!' She carefully turned it on, then turned it on again, but it still didn't work. 'And my smartphone isn't charging!' When she went into the living room, her dad was trying to use the Internet. He said, 'We haven't got any get and the TV isn't working!' There isn't any electricity. Then Mum said, 'Look! Here are some board games!' So they played board games and laughed a lot. Finally Mum asked Vicky, 'Did you get bored?' Vicky smiled and said, 'No, this was fun, but I really miss my phone!' The next day Vicky was happy because everything was working again.
