Task 1. Read the text. Family holidays and traditions In my family, we celebrate many holidays together. For birthdays, we decorate the house with balloons and make a big cake. On New Year's Eve, we put up a Christmas tree and exchange gifts at midnight. My grandmother cooks special pies. and my father lights fireworks. We always take family photos in matching pajamas. On Christmas morning, we open presents under the tree. My sister and I write letters to Santa Claus every December. In summer, we celebrate Family Day by going on a picnic. Our favorite tradition is making a time capsule every five years. These traditions make our family holidays special.
