Word Count: 60-70 words (minimum 54, maximum 77)
Structure of the Letter:
Salutation (on a separate line):
Dear Ann, (First name, followed by a comma!)
Gratitude for the received letter:
Thanks for your email. I am always glad to get your letters.
Logical transition to the main body of the letter:
You asked me about... (letter topic [TAKEN FROM THE TASK!]), for example, sports, holidays, etc.
Answers to three questions with linking words:
Use linking words like: Well, and, but, because, so, also
Answers should be complete and accurate, based on the question. For example:
Question: Do you think that sport is important for you? –
Answer: I think sport is important for me. It helps me to be healthy and strong.
Question: What kind of sport do you and your friend play if any? –
Answer: Well, we play football because it is our favourite sport / because we like it / because it is fun.
OR - We don't play any sports but we go dancing / we go to a music school / we go to an art school.
OR - I don't play any sports but my friend does archery.
Question: Do you take part in competitions? –
Answer: I am good at swimming / running / football, so I take part in competitions.
OR - I don't do any sports, so I don't take part in any competitions.
