There were many colourful tents and people selling food, toys, and clothes. Kate tried pancakes with honey and bought a small bracelet. Her younger brother played games and won a toy car. Their parents listened to music played by a local band. Everyone enjoyed the warm spring weather. In the afternoon, Kate and her family watched a parade. People in bright costumes walked along the main street, and children waved flags. Some dancers performed on a stage, and singers sang popular songs. In the evening there were fireworks.
