The Wright brothers were Wilbur Wright and Orville Wright. They were from the USA. Their first job was as engineers. They started building an aeroplane in 1899. They flew an aeroplane in 1903. The aeroplane was Flyer I and it flew for 12 seconds. The speed of flight was 6.8 mph. The altitude (height) of flight was 36.5 metres. Later, they made bikes. Wilbur died in 1912, and Orville died in 1948.
