Topic 1 — Reading

My hobby is reading books. I usually read every evening at home, especially before I go to bed. At weekends, I sometimes visit the library and choose a new story. I do not need special equipment: a book and a comfortable place are enough. I enjoy reading because it takes me to different countries and helps me imagine exciting adventures. Books also teach me new words and interesting facts. When I finish a good book, I feel happy and want to tell my family about it. Reading is a relaxing hobby, and I hope to keep enjoying it.

Topic 1 — Football

My favourite hobby is playing football. I play it two or three times a week, usually at the sports ground near my home. Sometimes I play with my classmates after school, and at weekends I practise with a team. I need a football, sports clothes and comfortable trainers. Football keeps me active and helps me become stronger. It also teaches me to work with other people and follow the rules. I feel excited when I score a goal, but I enjoy passing the ball and helping my teammates, too. After a game, I feel tired but cheerful. Football is fun and good for my health.

Topic 2 — A computer

My favourite piece of technology is a computer. I use it several times a week, mostly at home. I use it to prepare for lessons, find information and create presentations. A computer is helpful because I can read different materials and organise my work in one place. It also lets me practise English with educational websites and learn new skills. I try to take breaks and avoid spending too much time in front of the screen. My computer makes studying more interesting and helps me finish some tasks faster. I still check important information in my schoolbooks and ask my teacher when something is unclear.
