Ben said that on the Internet he could look for information on anything he liked. He added that he used the Internet for homework and for research. He thought that The Internet was much more interactive while the radio and the press were just boring. He said that on the Internet you could connect with the whole world. He added that he could talk to his overseas friends because he had his own e-mail address. He thought that the Internet had everything you could get from the press, television or the radio.

He thought that as for entertainment, the television was much better. Ted loves his telly and he can’t live without it. He said that there were so much on — comedies, news stories, sports, reality and game shows and other programmes. He thought that the only problem with the television was to choose a good programme. Now Ted listens to the radio more. His brother and he are big fans of the radio. He said that people could learn a lot from some programmes.

I am not a big fan of the Internet. Firstly, social networks take a lot of time. When we spend too much time sitting behind the computer, our sight becomes worse. Secondly, not everything in the Internet is true. People see beautiful photos, and then they begin to envy other people’s lives. Also, many Internet users stop reading books or going out at all. Plus, teenagers spend too much time playing online violent and aggressive games. Of course, compared to newspapers or magazines, the information on the Internet is updated more often, but, as I have already said, this information is not always true.

I think I couldn’t live without magazines. Reading magazines is definitely better than sitting behind the computer. As well as getting information from magazines, people can find many articles in the Internet too, but we know that when we spend too much time sitting behind the computer, our sight becomes worse. Reading magazines is good for our memory. It is also good for our brains, because reading magazines broaden our mind. As for the Internet, this medium is full of violence and bullying. Plus, many Internet users stop reading books or going out at all. Besides, not everything in the Internet is true.
