The task is to rewrite sentences in the passive voice, identifying the tense used.
1. Alexandra Byrne created the Phantom of the Opera film costumes.
- Passive Sentence: The Phantom of the Opera film costumes were created by Alexandra Byrne.
- Tense: Past Simple (Passive) - 'were created'
2. The company employs three hundred people.
- Passive Sentence: Three hundred people are employed by the company.
- Tense: Present Simple (Passive) - 'are employed'
3. B & K have built a new cinema complex near the airport.
- Passive Sentence: A new cinema complex near the airport has been built by B & K.
- Tense: Present Perfect (Passive) - 'has been built'
4. John wrote the essay.
- Passive Sentence: The essay was written by John.
- Tense: Past Simple (Passive) - 'was written'
5. The Mayor will open the new theatre this Sunday.
- Passive Sentence: The new theatre will be opened by the Mayor this Sunday.
- Tense: Future Simple (Passive) - 'will be opened'

- Tense: Present Perfect (Passive) - 'has been offered'
4. The director sent Laura an email.
- Passive Sentence: An email was sent to Laura by the director. OR Laura was sent an email by the director.
- Tense: Past Simple (Passive) - 'was sent'
