Take sth off (≠ put on): To remove an item of clothing or an accessory. Example: 'She took off her coat because it was hot.'
Take sb out: To invite someone to go with you to a place such as a restaurant or cinema for a social occasion. Example: 'He took his girlfriend out for her birthday.'
Take sth back: To return something you have bought to the shop because it is not suitable or you do not want it. Example: 'I need to take back this shirt because it's too small.'
Take away: To buy food from a shop or restaurant and eat it somewhere else. Example: 'We decided to get a pizza to take away.'
