Dear Nikki,
It's the end of my first week in this new village, and I think I'm beginning to fit (1) in. People speak a little differently here and their accent sounds strange at first. Everyone is friendly, and although I felt shy the first two days, I (2) am feeling much happier now.
It's a very small school with about two hundred students. Most students are cousins and siblings, and there are twins in my class. I can (3) get to know everyone quickly because it's a small village and everyone my age is in the same class! My last school had four classes in my year.
I've already made new friends. I have a lot in common (4) with some of my classmates and they're treating me like 'one of the family'. One classmate, Max, is (5) having a party at the swimming pool this weekend, and he has invited me. I have to get permission from Mum - I hope I'm allowed!
I miss you, Nikki. I'm making new friends, but you're still my best friend! Don't touch - and ask your parents if you can visit soon!
(6) Get Love,
Harper
