The city of Arkhangelsk is one of the oldest seaports in Russia. It stands on the Northern Dvina River, not far from the White Sea. Every winter, the weather there gets extremely cold, and the rivers are covered with thick ice. However, local people are used to this climate and wear warm fur coats.
