The Legend of Brave Gelert

A.

Long ago in a beautiful palace on the river Conwy in Wales there lived Llywelyn [lovelin] the Great - Lord of Snowdon, and his wife - Joan - daughter of the King of all England.

When Princess Joan first came from England she brought Prince Llywelyn a gift from her father- - King John. It was a strong big clever dog which drove away the wild wolves for miles, but played with the palace cat very carefully. The dog was called Gelert. Llywelyn and Gelert became very friendly.

B.

Prince Llywelyn was fond of hunting, so he often stayed in a hunting house in the mountains with his family, servants and dogs. And in autumn they used to hunt deer among the valleys covered with woods.

C.

One day when Llywelyn was out hunting his best hound Gelert disappeared (исчез), and Llywelyn came back to the hunting house alone.

D.

He found Gelert there. His hair was covered with blood (кровь). And in the far corner of the room he saw the empty bed of his baby son. There was blood on the floor.
